How to One Up a Talking Turtle

Turtle Talk with Crush is a very cute show at Epcot where Crush from Finding Nemo actually talks to the audience and besides cracking some jokes and teaching everyone the different ways to say "Dude," he answers questions from the kids about turtles.

Paxton was one of the lucky kids who got picked to ask a question...

Crush: Hey little dude. What's your question?

Paxton: What color are a turtle's eyes?

Crush: Well, mine are like brown. But my girlfriend Shelley...(sigh) hers are more like aquamarine cuz she's like totally hot. What color are your eyes?

Paxton: Well, I think they're brownish...but...I can't actually look at them.

Pause for a solid minute of the audience laughing.

Crush: Ummm....I don't really have a response to that.

(Benjamin has a homework assignment:  write something about your best friend.)

Joshua:  Aw, Ben... you're going to write about me?

Benjamin:  No, you're not my best friend.  You're my Daddy.  I'm writing about Advai.  He's my best friend.  You're my fourth best friend.  Advai's my first best friend.  Adam is my second best friend. Jake is my third best friend.  Actually you're my last best friend.

Paxton:  I'm going to bring a barf bag to my wedding just in case I have to use it after I'm done kissing the bride.

Paxton has really started enjoying non-fiction lately. Particularly reading about Albert Einstein. He also loves telling us what he's learned...

Paxton: Einstein said "Imagination is more important than knowledge." That is SO true...I hate school.

So, today after Ben shared his show and tell, a girl raised her hand and asked Ben if he would be her best friend. He was genuinely confused by the question and said "What do you mean? We are all best friends in our class!"

Two stories about Ben and Aftercare

One.
So, Ben had gotten all of the boys in aftercare at one table to sing together. Aftercare ranges from Kindergarteners to Fifth Graders. All the girls in aftercare thought this was hilarious. That would be because they were singing Taylor Swift.

Every day I come to daycare I talk to their teacher Jackie, usually to hear about what trouble they (particularly Ben) have been up to. Today Jackie told Josh that Ben said that if they stop telling me what he's done wrong, he'll sing for them.
